Welcome to Appledark Irish Draughts

We are a small, private stud, breeding Irish Draughts for our own pleasure.

Established 1984 in West Yorkshire, we re-located to the beautiful North Yorkshire Dales in May 2000.

All our horses are reared naturally on top quality pasture, resulting in correct conformation, quality flat bone, good straight limbs, sound hard feet, healthy constitutions and superb temperaments.

Many hours of planning go into every mating to ensure that mares and stallions compliment each other in order to produce the best pure bred Irish Draught foals possible.

Norma and David are happy to welcome visitors at anytime of the year, but please ring to check that there’s someone home.
